In NH visit fmr Amb. Bolton says Democrats are weak on foreign policy
John Bolton, the controversial former ambassador to the United Nations, said the recent debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over whether there should be full negotiations with Iran shows the Democratic Party is weak on foreign policy.
"Frankly this debate shows just how weak their thinking really is," said Bolton in an interview after he address the New Hampshire Republican Central Committee meeting in Manchester.
Bolton said he is not supporting any particular Republican presidential candidate, but was in New Hampshire to talk to Republicans about the importance of foreign policy in the presidential campaign.
Bolton was UN Ambassador for a little over a year from 2005 to 2006. Due to some of his challenging comments on the role of the United Nations he was never confirmed by the Senate to his position and instead was a recess appointment.
