New Hampshire Today, Oct. 1
In New Hampshire today there is a calm after a busy weekend of six presidential candidates coming through the state.
Tom Tancredo, Barack Obama, Ron Paul, John McCain, Mike Huckabee, and Dennis Kucinich all held events from Hanover to Rye.
Last night it was Tancredo who was addressing a pro-life group in Bedford, the Union Leader reports.
John McCain wrapped up a two-day swing by addressing social security in Derry Sunday night. At an ocean-side house in Rye on Saturday he talked about the need for sanctions against Myanmar.
While McCain was talking to his audiences of a few hundred, Huckabee was literally preaching his message to the choir, the Concord Monitor writes.
Also over the weekend, Newt Gingrich announced he will not run for president, news that will not considerably change the Republican race according to polls last week.
The Concord Monitor takes a look at if young voters will actually vote in the upcoming presidential primary.
