New Hampshire Today, Oct. 5

By James Pindell October 5, 07 10:55 AM

In New Hampshire today, Michelle Obama stumps for her husband and Mitt Romney goes up with a new radio ad immediately after his little spat yesterday with Rudy Giuliani over taxes.

Michelle Obama will attend "invitation only" events in Manchester and Nashua today. Romney's new radio ad says he is the only presidential candidate to sign a no new taxes pledge (though he refused to sign the same pledge when he ran for governor in 2002).

Romney will return tomorrow for stops in Dover, New Castle, Freemont, Bedford, and Milford. Joe Biden will campaign in Henniker, Plymouth, and the Coos County.

But it was Romney's trip to the state yesterday that got him a lot of press coverage. In the Union Leader they avoid the fight between himself and Giuliani and just cover his first event.

The Globe covered the spat as did the Nashua Telegraph and the Concord Monitor in what will likely foreshadow the debate in later months.

The Telegraph also covered the stop of the first three star female general who was in the state stumping for Hillay Clinton.

After scaring Dartmouth students (and alledgely licking one of them) Manchester resident and presidential candidate was in court yesterday facing charges, the Union Leader writes.
