McCain sweeps NH newspaper endorsements
PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- John McCain has now received the endorsement of every major New Hampshire newspaper with the backing he received from the Nashua Telegraph this morning.
Like the Union Leader, Boston Globe, and the Concord Monitor, the Telegraph's editorial board favored McCain for his character even if they disagree on some policy.
"At a time when some candidates present themselves to voters as something they haven't always been, we find the Arizona senator to be the genuine article. You might not always agree with his answers, but you won't leave a conversation wondering where he stands," the newspaper wrote.
McCain has been endorsed by every newspaper in New Hampshire except the Dover-based Foster's Daily Democrat and their sister paper, the Citizen, in the Lakes Region.
