Hillary is fourth in Iowa
An Iowa poll out over the weekend shows Senator Hillary Clinton in fourth place in the Hawkeye State behind John Edwards, Barack Obama, and outgoing Iowa Governor Tim Vilsack.
The Research 2000 poll conducted for KCCI television was seen as good news for Vilsack, who has lagged in polls in his home state, and for Obama, who was tied with Edwards for first place. On the Republican side, the poll showed Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had less support in Iowa than he does in neighboring New Hampshire.
The poll was taken from Dec. 18-20 of 600 likely Iowa voters and had a margin of error of 4 percent.
The results:
Democrats
John Edwards, 22 percent
Barack Obama, 22 percent
Tom Vilsack, 12 percent
Hillary Clinton, 10 percent
Al Gore, 7 percent
John Kerry, 5 percent
Republicans
John McCain 27 percent
Rudy Giuliani 26 percent
Mitt Romney, 9 percent
Newt Gingrich, 7 percent
