Rhode Island State Police said a man was charged with drunken driving after he was found apparently asleep in his vehicle in a traffic lane of Interstate 95. State Police said a tow truck driver called police at 2 a.m. Saturday to report that a pickup was stopped on I-95 south in Providence and that its driver was slumped over the steering wheel. The tow truck driver watched as the pickup rolled across another lane and struck a guardrail, police said. The driver — Tyler Wyngaard, 25, of Providence — was arraigned on a drunken driving charge after his blood-alcohol level was determined to be .185, more than twice the legal limit of .08, State Police said. end of story marker
