A date has been set for the former mayor of Central Falls to plead guilty to a corruption charge for taking gifts from a political supporter who received a lucrative contract to board up houses in the city. The US attorney’s office said Charles Moreau is scheduled to change his plea to guilty in a hearing set for Nov. 7. Michael Bouthillette, who in court papers has acknowledged paying for part of a furnace and doing repair work on Moreau’s home, is also scheduled to plead guilty the same day. Moreau stepped down Sept. 19, the same day he agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge of accepting gifts. end of story marker
