Four Providence firefighters have been hospitalized with injuries suffered while fighting a house fire. The Providence Journal reported that two firefighters fell through a hole in the second floor of the building Wednesday morning. Another firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, and a fourth injured his shoulder. WPRO-AM reported that the firefighters’ union said the injuries are not life-threatening. The more than 7,000-square-foot house is listed for sale for $1.4 million. It was empty at the time of the fire. The cause is being investigated. end of story marker
