NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — A Burrillville man has been charged in connection with the traffic death of a woman walking along Route 146/ Eddie Dowling Highway in North Smithfield in September.

Police say 44-year-old Jason Jerominek was charged this week with ‘‘speeding, conditions requiring reduced speed, and due care by driver.’’

Authorities say Jerominek’s vehicle struck 29-year-old Jessica Gill of Woonsocket at about 10 p.m. Sept. 18 near a gas station and car dealership.
