GREENFIELD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire Fish and Game officers have come to the aid of a Rhode Island woman and her 2-year-old son who became lost while hiking North Pack Monadnock Mountain in Greenfield.
Thirty-year-old Carrie Readey of Cranston, R.I., called 911 about 5 p.m. Wednesday. She said she started the hike at the Ted’s trailhead on Mountain Road in Greenfield and lost the trail near the intersection of the Cliff trail. She said she and her son were getting cold.
Officers said 911 dispatchers were able to provide GPS coordinates from Readey’s cell phone, which helped locate them.
Officers found the pair about 7:30 p.m. They were not injured.
