PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Warwick police say they charged a local woman with reckless driving and DUI after she led officers on a chase through four cities.
Police say 21-year-old Stephanie Banville sped away after an officer pulled her over for suspected drunken driving Saturday night. The chase went into Cranston, Providence and North Providence before she was stopped back in Providence.
Officers say no one was injured in the chase, which wasn’t at high speeds.
Authorities say Banville’s driver’s license is revoked and she is serving a three-year suspended sentence for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injuries.
Banville was held without bail. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer.
