WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — State police say they charged a 44-year-old man with drunken driving after troopers saw him driving the wrong way in Warwick near Interstate 95.
Isidro Cruz-Guzman was detained at the Wickford barracks Sunday on a DUI charge pending an arraignment before a justice of the peace.
State police say troopers were traveling on the ramp from I-95 northbound to East Avenue in Warwick early Sunday morning when they saw Cruz-Guzman driving right at them in the wrong direction on East Avenue.
Police pulled Cruz-Guzman over and suspected him of being intoxicated. Troopers say his blood-alcohol level was 0.16, twice the legal limit.
It’s not clear if Cruz-Guzman has a lawyer.
