PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Providence police say they’re trying to find two home invasion suspects who stabbed a man multiple times and assaulted three other family members.
Officers were called to the home on Paul Street shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Police told The Providence Journal (http://bit.ly/W71sSN ) that a woman in the home told officers that two men walked in through an unlocked front door and asked where the money was. She said the intruders stabbed her brother, 48-year-old Jamie Vasquez, in the lower back and shoulder several times and assaulted their 72-year-old father in his bed.
The woman said one suspect grabbed her by her hair and assaulted a third relative in a shower.
Vasquez and his father, also named Jamie Vasquez, were brought to Rhode Island Hospital. Their conditions haven’t been released.
