2 arrested after stabbing at Cumberland bar

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (AP) — Cumberland police have arrested two men in connection with the stabbing of another man during a bar fight this week.
Police charged 21-year-old Shawn Plunkett of Cumberland and 32-year-old Clarence Mowry of Woonsocket with assault and other crimes Tuesday. They’re accused in the wounding of a 39-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times at the Broad Street Tap on Monday night.
Plunkett is charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct. He’s detained on bail. Mowry faces charges of simple assault, conspiracy and disorderly conduct. He posted bail.
It’s not clear if the men have lawyers. There’s no phone listing for Mowry.
Police say the victim is recovering at Rhode Island Hospital.![]()
