WEST WARWICK, R.I.—An 18-year-old West Warwick woman is accused of fatally stabbing another teen in what police say appears to be part of an ongoing fight over a man.

Police say Abimbola O. Johnson was being held without bail on a charge of first-degree murder following an initial court appearance Friday at the Kent County Courthouse. The case has been referred to a grand jury.

Police say the victim, also 18, and two other women followed Johnson home from work on Thursday and tried to talk to her. Johnson allegedly went inside her house and came back out with a kitchen knife, which police say she used to stab the victim after the woman charged at her during an argument.

The victim's name has not been released. She was pronounced dead at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
