BRISTOL, R.I.—An antique copper fountain has gone missing and museum officials are offering a $500 reward to help retrieve it.

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum officials say the 1908 art nouveau fountain was stolen Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, the same time someone smashed and stole cash from the museum's honor box.

Blithewold executive director Karen Binder tells The Providence Journal that the handcrafted fountain can't be replaced. She said the museum just spent tens of thousands of dollars restoring three historic fountains.

She said the fountain is valued at up to $5,000.
