Lynch given top spot in attorney general group
PROVIDENCE, R.I. --Attorney General Patrick Lynch will serve a one-year term as president of the National Association of Attorneys General.
Lynch was formally installed as president during a dinner in Newport on Thursday night.
He's the first Rhode Island attorney general to hold the position.
Lynch said he would focus his term on problems relating to the Internet, including cyberbulling, online predators and digital music piracy.
Lynch was first elected in 2002 and won a second term in 2006. He's been mentioned as a possible Democratic candidate for governor in 2010.
