RICHMOND, R.I.—Five puppies and their mother have been returned to their owner after the dogs were stolen last week from a motel room in Westerly.
The dogs were dropped off over the weekend at a dog park in Richmond and discovered by an animal control officer.
Still, seven of the 12 stolen puppies remain missing.
Jeffrey Wilson reported last week that Jazmyn, a blue-nose American Staffordshire terrier, and 12 of her puppies had been stolen from the Blue Motor Inn in Westerly.
The dogs were left at the motel while Wilson went to pick up his girlfriend from the hospital.
Wilson is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of the other missing puppies.
