NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.—A company in the Army National Guard has returned home to Rhode Island after a tour spent training police in Iraq.

About 135 members of the 169th Military Police Company arrived Thursday at a military airfield in North Kingstown to cheers, flowers and embraces from loved ones.

Soldiers in the unit spent 11 months in Ramadi training Iraqi police officers. The guardsmen supervised Iraqi police stations and went on patrol with Iraqi police forces.
