PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Police in Providence are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager.
The police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg early Saturday in the Mount Hope section of the city. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Authorities are also investigating a possible stabbing over the weekend after responding to reports of a parking lot fight in Providence and finding a man with bad cuts to his face, head and arm.
The police are treating the incident as a stabbing, though it wasn't immediately clear how the injuries occurred.
