Health officials recommend 5 RI beaches reopen

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—State health officials say all 128 monitored beaches in Rhode Island are again open for swimming.

On Wednesday, four beaches in Warwick that were previously closed were reopened to the public after water samples showed their bacteria levels were within acceptable limits.

Those beaches are Conimicut Point Beach, City Park Beach, Gorton Pond Beach and Oakland Beach have all been closed.

The department also Wednesday recommended the reopening of the Saunderstown Yacht Club beach.
