PROVIDENCE, R.I.—All monitored beaches in Rhode Island are now open for swimming.

The state health department on Wednesday recommended reopening Camp Grosvenor Beach in North Kingstown and Gorton Pond Beach in Warwick.

The move comes after water samples from both beaches revealed acceptable bacteria levels.

The department says it will continue to monitor the beaches regularly.
