PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Traffic pattern changes are in store for the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Providence.
Rhode Island transportation officials say they'll close overnight Friday the two-lane ramp for Interstate 195 East and replace it with a temporary ramp, about 1,000 feet south of its current location on I-95 South.
One lane of I-95 South will be closed during that time, and there'll be only one open lane to access I-195. The work is expected to be completed by late Saturday morning.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
The work is part of the Iway highway relocation project.![]()
