NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.—Police are investigating after a body was discovered in a burning pickup truck at a North Kingstown park-and-ride lot.
Deputy Fire Chief Jan Sironen said the pickup truck was in flames when firefighters arrived around 6 a.m. Wednesday. The body was found in the front seat of the truck, which was parked in a lot near the intersection of Routes 1A and 138.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
North Kingstown police and fire investigators were examining the scene Wednesday.
