BOSTON—New England is bracing for a nor'easter that could bring 1-3 inches of rain and strong wind gusts to parts of the six-state region.
The National Weather Service says some higher elevations in the Berkshires and southern Vermont could even see a bit of wet snow mixed in during the storm.
The heaviest precipitation was expected late Thursday night and early Friday morning. The storm was expected to wind down by late Friday with a mostly sunny fall weekend expected.
Forecasters say the storm could produce some flooding in urban and poor drainage areas.
A wind advisory was posted for much of southern New England, with gusts above 50 mph possible in some areas.
