A judge has ruled that the School Committee in Barrington violated the state’s Open Meetings Act by failing to properly advertise a meeting last year on a mandatory alchohol monitoring policy. Superior Court Judge Brian Stern ruled Monday that the committee failed to alert the public about the specific policies it would be discussing. He said he would hold another hearing to decide whether the violations were “knowing and willful,’’ which could lead to fines.
