PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The mayor of Providence is set to release a report laying out his goals for improving public education in Rhode Island's largest city.
An education commission created by Mayor Angel Taveras (tuh-VEHR'-us) plans to release its conclusions Monday.
Taveras assigned the Education Opportunity Working Group in June with the task of formulating strategies for improving the city's schools.
Taveras and the working group will hold a community forum after the report's release.![]()
