NARRAGANSETT, R.I.—Narragansett police say a woman has died as a result of injuries she received in a collision that caused one car to burst into flames.
The crash late Saturday at Route 108 and Clarke Road involved two cars, including one in which a 61-year-old woman was critically injured. She later died at South County Hospital.
WJAR-NBC 10 reports (http://bit.ly/tnTQe3) one of the vehicles burst into flames, but that everyone was out by the time fire crews arrived. One of three dogs inside one of the vehicles also died in the crash.
It remained under investigation Sunday, and Narragansett authorities did not immediately release the deceased woman's name.![]()
