WOONSOCKET, R.I.—U.S. Rep. David Cicilline (sihs-ihl-EE'-nee) of Rhode Island is postponing several events because of last-minute debate in Washington.
Cicilline's office says Congressional debate over the payroll tax increase forced him to cancel Tuesday's planned opening of a new satellite office, a small business tour and a community dinner in Woonsocket.
The community dinner has been postponed to Jan. 12. The other two events will be rescheduled.
Cicilline, a Democrat, represents the state's 1st Congressional District.![]()
