Cranston burglary suspect arrested in police raid

CRANSTON, R.I.—A man accused of eluding a police chase after breaking into two houses in Cranston has been arrested in a raid on a residence in Providence.
Anthony Meo was arraigned Wednesday evening on charges including receiving stolen goods and eluding a police officer during a pursuit.
Police say the 41-year-old man burglarized two homes on Friday before leading police on a chase that ended with a wreck on Route 195 in East Providence. He allegedly fled on foot and was able to elude authorities until Wednesday, when police arrested him at his home.
WJAR-TV reports Meo was being held without bail.
