CENTRAL FALLS, R.I.—Police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting at a Central Falls apartment.

Police said officers responded to a report of gunshots about 11 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a man on the third floor of the building with a gunshot wound to the head. They did not release the dead man's name, pending notification of his family.

Thirty-year-old Curtis Taylor, who was renting the apartment, was brought in for questioning. Police said they later charged him with conspiracy to commit murder; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; carrying a pistol without a permit; and possession of cocaine.

Taylor was held as a prior offender and allegedly using a firearm in a crime of violence.
