CRANSTON, R.I.—State officials have suspended the license of a Cranston daycare center after its driver and owner forgot a child inside a locked van for two hours

The state Department of Child and Youth Services says the driver went into the Wonderland Early Learning Center and left the child in the parking lot.

WPRI-TV says a teacher reportedly discovered the child as she was going into the building. The child was unharmed.

Jeffrey Swann, who owns the daycare center, tells the TV station that the child was in the van for "about a half hour," not two hours as described by authorities.

Officials say this is the third violation in seven months involving improper supervision.

The daycare center's license was suspended Thursday.

Parents have been notified of the incident.
