2 held in case of missing Worcester, Mass. teen
WORCESTER, Mass.,—Authorities say two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance last week of a Worcester, Mass., teenager.
Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Thursday that 19-year-old James Howze of Providence, R.I., and 22-year-old Lara Corey of Westborough, Mass., were arrested Wednesday night in the Albany, N.Y., suburb of Colonie.
Early said both are charged with car theft and Howze is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a knife.
The alleged victim, 19-year-old Joseph Webster, hasn't been found since his family reported him missing March 14.
Early said investigators discovered that Webster and the suspects had been at a motel in Northborough, Mass., and evidence there led to the charges.
Webster's family tells the Worcester Telegram & Gazette that he is mildly autistic and requires daily insulin for diabetes.![]()
