NEWPORT, R.I.—Four days of world-class sailing are coming to a close in Newport.

Final races in the America's Cup World Series are scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Eight crews from six countries have competed in the races that began Thursday. The event is the latest in a series of races held around the world that serve as a prelude to the 34th America's Cup next year in San Francisco. Newport hosted racing for the Cup from 1930-1983.

The America's Cup Village is based at Fort Adams State Park.

The races will be televised nationally on NBC at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Sunday and may also be viewed live on americascup.com.
