A tangled web

Well, Boston's blogosphere is quickly weighing in on the MBTA's new web site this morning, which is running slow because T officials say it's getting "tens of thousands" of hits as you all goof off at work on a Friday morning. We'll see.

One major note: if you're not using one already, update your browser. The guys who designed the site were using Firefox.

First, the bostonist appears to like the change.

Universal Hub is critical and also ripped off our idea of posting the T's old website, but we'll let that go.

Then there's this guy who uses the Opera browser and doesn't like things one bit. Our suggestion? Stop using Opera. Note in the comments section that other Opera users aren't experiencing the same problems.

Also remember that today is the first day you can buy your January bus or bus/subway pass on-line. Postage is paid by the T, we're told. Let us know how things are working. Now we have to go to www.mbta.com and link some stuff. See you in about an hour.
