Police looking for hit-and-run driver in Vermont

LEICESTER, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police are looking for a minivan driver who struck a girl and didn’t stop.

State police say the hit-and-run happened a little after 6 p.m. Tuesday on Lake Dunmore Road in Leicester.

The girl told police she was walking down the road when a blue minivan with a spare tire mounted on top hit her. Police said the van’s passenger side mirror was reportedly damaged.

The girl was being evaluated for injuries.
