CHESTER, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police are looking for someone who stole 32 gallons of maple syrup from a sugarhouse in the town of Baltimore.
Shepard Thomas of EC Thomas & Sons told police he found the sugarhouse door open and about $500 worth of his homemade syrup taken on Sept. 19.
The sugarhouse is next door to the Baltimore Town Hall. The Eagle Times reports (http://bit.ly/SSJGdq) several of the bottles, ranging in volume from half-pint to gallon-sized, were personally labeled.
