SHELBURNE, Vt. (AP) — Vermont firefighters are investigating what caused a fire that destroyed a two-family house in Shelburne.
Vermont State Police say no one was home at the time the fire broke out Monday so no one was injured.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire but say it was not suspicious.
More than 50 firefighters from several departments responded to the fire on Northern Heights Drive.
Much of the structure was saved but the house is a total loss because of the fire and water damage.
The damage is estimated to be more than $300,000.
