BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The historic home of the leader of the Green Mountain Boys will host a winter’s eve celebration.
The event at the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum in Burlington takes place on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Organizers say visitors will get a chance to take part in some period group dances, hear live music or take part in historical demonstrations and crafts.
Historical re-enactors will put on presentations and hand out period refreshments during a lantern-lit tour of the Allen house.
Admission will be charged but children under age 6 are free.
Ethan Allen made a name for himself by helping to take Fort Ticonderoga from the British in the early days of the Revolutionary War.
