MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Massachusetts Air National Guard will be training in the skies over southern Vermont and New Hampshire over the next few weeks.
The 104th Fighter Wing is preparing for an upcoming inspection.
Air Guard officials say the trainings will involve F-15 fighter jets finding and escorting nonmilitary aircraft to a regional airport.
The exercises will take place Thursday and on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30 during the day.
Officials say the Vermont communities of Rutland, Wells, Granville, Bennington, West Dover, Manchester, Dorset and Pawlet as well as Claremont and Keene, N.H., may notice increased aircraft activity during those days.
