MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — State police are warning motorists to use caution when traveling because of black ice and slush on roadways.
Authorities say accumulating ice and slush has made roads treacherous in the Franklin County area and that black ice is a danger in Chittenden County.
State police say numerous cars skidded off Interstate 89 in Montpelier because of icy roads. Several tractor trailers were unable to move because of road conditions. No injuries were reported.
