2 die in Vermont crash
QUECHEE, Vt. (AP) — Police are investigating a head-on crash in Quechee, Vt., in which a man and a woman were killed.
The Valley News (http://bit.ly/Y2r1PX ) says 38-year-old Corey Daniels of Hartford and 63-year-old Nina Dimick of Woodstock were killed in Thursday’s crash, which forced authorities to close U.S. Route 4 in Quechee for six hours. Police also say a 17-year-old female passenger in Daniels’ vehicle suffered severe but non-life threatening injuries and was being treated at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center late Friday.
Police say Dimick was traveling eastbound when her car briefly crossed the center line and struck the rear wheel of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck. Dimick’s car then slammed into Daniels’ oncoming vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing, but Hartford Deputy Police Chief Brad Vail says Dimick was at fault in both collisions.
