Vt marathon opens to those unable to finish Boston

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Organizers say so far 10 people who were unable to complete the Boston Marathon because of the bombings have signed up for the Vermont City Marathon in Burlington.
The Keybank Vermont City Marathon on Wednesday night offered those runners a chance to be in the race on May 26 for free.
They can register at www.runvcm.org with code ‘‘BOSTONSTRONG’’.
Vermont City Marathon officials also will hold a moment of silence at the start of the race to honor those affected by the bombings.
