CLARENDON, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police say a Danby man used a dog door to break into a Clarendon home and steal a television.
Police say 35-year-old Clemente Delarosa arrived home on Sunday to find his 60-inch television missing. Police say they used Delarosa’s security cameras to investigate and saw a man had crawled in through a dog door and removed the television. Police identified the man as 24-year-old Nicholas Brown.
Police say Delarosa told them that Brown had installed the dog door.
Police say Brown admitted to burglary when questioned Tuesday and said he traded the television for 12 bags of heroin in Rutland.
Police say Brown was charged with burglary, petit larceny and unlawful mischief. It couldn’t be immediately determined if Brown had a lawyer.
