CAVENDISH, Vt.—A high school exchange student from South Korea has been charged with molesting two small children and could get life in prison if convicted.
Hanse Park, 19, a student at Mount St. Joseph Academy in Rutland, is charged with two counts each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. The victims were 4 years old and 6 years old, according to Vermont State Police Detective Steven Otis.
The molestations occurred between Dec. 18 and Jan. 28.
Park, who was arrested Friday, "admitted his involvement" with the children, Otis said.
He was being held on $50,000 bail Monday at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield.![]()
