Soda bomb exploded in woman's car; no serious injuries

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt.—Bellows Falls police say a local woman was slightly injured when a small soda-bottle bomb e exploded in her car as she was on her way home from work.

Chief Ronald Lake says the device was a "works bomb."

Lake says the woman was sprayed with liquid and metal shards.

Lake says it could have been serious.

Police found a second, unexploded soda-bottle bomb in the woman's car. The Vermont State Police bomb squad was called in to deactivate the second device.

Lake says instructions for making a works bomb can be found on the Internet.
