ADDISON, Vt.—Vermont Transportation Agency officials are planning a public meeting for Tuesday to discuss alternatives for people who can no longer use the Lake Champlain Bridge to reach Crown Point, N.Y.
And New York Emergency Management are planning a similar meeting for Wednesday in Port Henry.
The Vermont meeting will be held at the Addison Central School. The New York meeting will be at the Moriah Central School. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m.
The 80-year-old bridge between Addison and Crown Point was closed earlier this month.
Meanwhile, officials in the two states have arranged free ferry service to help residents and businesses cope with the bridge closure.![]()
