MONTPELIER, Vt.—Got a pair of stinky shoes? They could earn you $200.
Entrants are being sought for Vermont's Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest, a prelude to the national event of the same name.
The Vermont state contest, one of nine being held across the nation, is being held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Montpelier Recreation Department, 55 Barre Street. To enter, you must be between 6 and 15 years old and have a pair of sneakers that smell really bad.
In addition to the $200 grand prize, the winner gets a basket of Odor-Eaters products and the right to represent Vermont in the national Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest, scheduled for March 23 -- also in Montpelier.
