BENNINGTON, Vt.—A new holiday exhibit at the Bennington Museum celebrates the work of former "Henry" cartoonist Don Trachte.

"Season's Greetings: Holiday Cards by Don Trachte and Friends," featuring a collection owned by Don Trachte, Jr., of Bennington, opens Nov. 19 and runs through Dec. 31.

Cartoonist Carl Anderson created the "Henry" cartoon strip in 1934, and it was syndicated by King Features and carried by about 400 newspapers nationwide. Trachte drew "Henry" after Anderson's death in 1948, and made a special Christmas card honoring him that started a tradition of making and mailing hundreds of cards each year.
