MONTPELIER, Vt.—State Rep. Christopher Bray of New Haven has entered the race for lieutenant governor.

He's the second Democrat, joining state Rep. Steve Howard, of Rutland, in seeking the seat being vacated by Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie, a Republican who is running for governor.

Two Republicans have also announced plans to succeed Dubie. State Sen. Phil Scott, of Washington County, and businessman Mark Snelling, son of former Gov. Richard Snelling.

Bray on Tuesday called for revitalizing farms, forests and food industries, which he called Vermont's original green jobs and an essential part of the state's heritage.
